Open air and Christmas theatre in Winchelsea

Every year, in August, the Rain Or Shine Theatre, one of the best touring companies in the country, perform in Winchelsea in the beautiful garden of Cleveland House. Why not join us? Bring a picnic, sit back and be entertained.

Rain Or Shine usually perform Shakespeare but in 2010 took a break and performed "The Importance of Being Earnest", Oscar Wilde's classic comedy of manners, morals and morality. In 2011, the company returned to the Bard with the classic comedy "Much Ado About Nothing".

Much Ado About Nothing 2011

In December, Rain Or Shine usually return to Winchelsea to perform a Christmas play in the evocative setting of the Church of St Thomas the Martyr. They staged Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" in 2009 and Wilde's "Canterville Ghost" in 2010. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to secure the venue for 2011.
