One building. 18th Century. Two storeys and attic. Three windows.
Two hipped dormers. Ground floor red brick and grey headers,
above hung with plain and curved tiles. Tiled roof. Casement
windows. Doorways in architrave surrounds with cornices over.
Nos 4 and 5 The Five Houses

Grade II* (listed 3 August 1961)
Part of an L-shaped block of 5 houses built on a series of
high cellars, of which Nos 1-3 face North Street and Nos 4
and 5 Higham Green. 17th Century. Two storeys and attic. Five
windows and three hipped dormers facing Higham Green, four
windows and three hipped dormers facing North Street. Ground
floor stone rubble with red brick window dressings and quoins,
above hung with curved tiles. Tiled roof. Casement windows.
Doorways above street level with flat hoods over supported
on brackets and 6 panelled doors. Vaulted cellars of about
1300 below the houses. For Nos 1-3, see North Street.
Higham Cottage

Grade II (listed 3 August 1961)
17th Century or earlier. Two storeys and attic. Three windows
and one dormer facing south One window facing east. Ground
floor red brick, above tile-hung. Mansarded and half-hipped
tiled-roof. Casement windows, some with small square panes.
Doorway in moulded architrave surround with projecting cornice
over.
Red Sails and Gable

Grade II (listed 3 August 1961)
One building consisting of 2 parallel ranges. The front is
18th Century. Two storeys. Four windows. Stuccoed. Eaves cornice
of brick cogging. Tiled roof. Glazing bars missing. 2 bays
on both floors. Red Sails has a doorway in moulded architrave
surround with rectangular fanlight, projecting cornice over
with corbel heads on each side. Group value.
